HOLLY BUCZEK, Casting Director        

Holly Buczek is no stranger to auditions, having been auditioning and in the business since she was 5 years old. An honors graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she formed and ran a small theatre company in New York after graduating. Splitting her time between touring, regional shows, teaching, and her co-founded theatre company, Holly discovered her passion for casting at Vital Theatre Company. There, she assisted Bob Cline and eventually took over the casting demands for Vital Theatre’s award winning season of new, family musicals. Her enthusiasm for her work at Vital and drive to advance garnered her an internship at Tara Rubin Casting.

Branching out on her own, Holly has raised the production level at Vital Theatre Company with her personal brand of casting savy. She has a keen eye for  performers, a unique talent for “thinking outside of the box” and a razor sharp memory for  people and faces. Holly prides herself on creating a casting environment that allows performers to be uninhibited and bring all of their talent and personality to the table.

Holly is currently the Casting Director for Musicals Tonight!, Millbrook Playhouse Summer Stock Theatre and Vital Theatre Company. She has also worked as an associate with both Brette Goldstein Casting and Michael Cassara Casting. Recently, she taught casting workshops at the John W. Engeman theatre in Long Island, Center Stage Theatre Company in Westport CT and Newport Children’s Theatre in Rhode Island.
